WE ARE SPIRE.

OUR TEAM.

Spire Running began in the fall of 2008 with the goal of using running as a way to train and challenge young people, mind, body and soul, to rise higher than the culture thinks possible.

In the early days, Spire was mostly a road race club with a team of young people that dominated the 18 and under age group of Northern Virginia road races. However, as our team and reputation grew, Spire made the transition to junior and senior high track and cross country. Today, as a club, Spire hosts and participates in track and cross country meets throughout the Northern Virginia region. Spire athletes are highly competitive and have gone on to run at the collegiate level and for a variety of military branches.

Spire is a rigorous program that requires a commitment from the runner to attend practices and meets. Spire accepts homeschooled students and private school students (with special permission). Runners must be between the ages of 12-18* (*The student shall not have reached the age of 19 on or before the first day of August of the school year in which he/she wishes to compete.)
