2024 Cross Country Season

Spire is a rigorous running program that aims to train runners to be competitive athletes for the cross country season. Mileage is based on age and ability (new runners encouraged!) with daily workouts provided via the website and expected to be done individually, with team training three days a week.

Because cross country is a distance event, it’s important to consider the time commitment to daily training as dedication and consistency are keys to success and prevention of injury.

SCHEDULE:

The season begins in mid Aug and runs through mid-November.  Practice is held in the Annandale area on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Saturday mornings locations vary.

Meets are usually a distance of 5k (3.1 miles) for high schoolers, races vary for middle schoolers. Meets are typically on Saturdays with a few that fall mid-week, in the afternoon. A schedule will be posted as soon as it is confirmed.

REGISTRATION

Registration will open about three weeks before the season begins.
